i think that's best. I'm compiling JavaFX 8 from hand and it requires Windows 7 libraries. I don't know if the community has the fortitude to support an OpenGL node right now even though that would be a great idea. I myself wouldn't have a need for it since I get by with my consulting clients using the basic 2d and 3d shapes
