@tieskedh Just to share my personal opinion and experiences, GridPane is something you should rarely have to use unless you need a ridiculously weird and customized layout. From my experiences, you will be much better off using BorderPane and/or SplitPane, even if you have to nest them. It creates a more professional and consistent-looking UI with standard resizing behaviors.
