@amanda.hinchman-dominguez I'd stay away from scopes for your requirement unless you were opening up a second (third, fourth) main window of different projects with a separate Tiles browser and Tiles canvas. There's a risk of "scope impedence" when you start mixing a custom scope + prototype + singleton. When this happens, you start tracking instances which defeats the benefit of the custom scope.
