the conference is likely going to be too expensive for me to go, but I want to get involved in a panel or talk in conferences I've participated in the past: the Richard Tapia conference is a segment of ACM for minorities in computer science, and it's in Orlando this year, and I was thinking about doing a talk on getting involved with open-source communities in creating solutions for code-creation (meta programming). As someone who was terrified of doing anything open-source related and is at the beginning of their journey in their career, I think the experiences I've had the past couple months is enough to write an academic discourse. I'd love to include TornadoFX and Kotlin in the discussion, but I am not sure if I have enough knowledge or the rights to do so. What are your thoughts?
