@edvin I pushed some changes that used the new digest feature which is working great. I have a real RESTful post to WildFly in the connect logic.

I still need to learn about the commandParameter syntax. I have a cheat which sets fields in the model, then turns around and calls a parameter-less model. I'd like to pull out the fields in the model or at least set them through the command parameter.

I'm focusing on one-way data updates. Values from the user go View -> ViewModel -> Command -> Model. The ViewModel only updates from the Model when an EventBus notification is received. This way, there's no special update code that builds up en route to the model update (say setting the ViewModel prior to issuing the model change). This way, there is only one way for the ViewModel to respond to the changing model regardless of which code initiated it.
