@edvin I think you're being a little generous...other desktop apis have moved beyond simple windowing and have incorporated things like a system tray (not the AWT/FX mashup), voice command API (Cortana/Siri/Linux voice command), geo location

I know there are add-ons, but growing the FX desktop programming environment seems limited from my vantage point.
