@hastebrot I do some music recording so some of my screencasts were done in Sonar (formerly Cakewalk). I have a few vocal strips which are software versions of a combination of effects like a compressor, limiter, de-esser. Also, there are many EQs, consoles, and software tube preamps.
However, I usually rely on Camtasia’s basic post-processing to level out the audio and sometimes do noise removal. Camtasia is far less flexible than Sonar (or any Digital Audio Workstation [DAW]), but to add these effects, it’s just 2 check boxes in a tool that I’m already working with.
