@ron nb=Norwegian Bokmål (book language), nn=Nynorsk (translates to "new Norwegian" but is actually more like "old Norwegian". Less commonly spoken in central places of the country. Large parts of Norway speak some kind of dialect, but Bokmål (nb) is the common form. We learn Nynorsk in school though, and it's pretty easy to understand when you know Bokmål.
