We just have to account for the fact that Groovy-like builders, extension functions, nullability, and other language conveniences of Kotlin are not available in Java, and keep that in mind with the prototypes. I would love new controls and API's to make it in the core JavaFX API either way. Standardizing controls makes things so much easier to support.
