I guess we could registrer an eventfilter for onclick no matter the kind of node really, so that's entirely possible. Let me try to change it and check. You should be able to just hide the ExpanderColumn the usual way if you don't want it (or just remove it, it's inserted as the first column, but we can add an interface for that)
