I need some advice 🙂 UIComponent holds the definition of root, which we override in every View and Fragment. This means that by the time you have defined override val root = HBox() in your View class, the constructor of UIComponent has already run. Because of this, I can't find a good hook/time to assign root.properties[tornadofx.uicomponent].
