Android Studio had broken the support for IDE integration between (Groovy)

build.gradle

files and code present in the

buildSrc

in versions 3.3 and 3.4 Issue

in their bug tracker. For your information, this is now fixed in the upcoming 3.5 release https://github.com/jmfayard/buildSrcVersions/issues/38
