Yeah I get that -- just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I was kind of thinking of Gradle Script Kotlin as a Kotlin-based syntax layer on top of the same underlying API, but the differences seem to go beyond syntax. That's fine (and I see the benefits of that), but I'm not sure the docs as they stand now really make that clear.
