@thomasnield: It says 1.0 M1 (pre-release) under https://github.com/gradle/gradle-script-kotlin/releases.

With this first milestone release, Gradle users can now write their build scripts in Kotlin.

So it's a first release with initial features, some limitations and a custom distribution of Gradle is needed.
