so, some combination of compiler magic and runtime magic has made java 8 + java fx + kotlinx-coroutines 1.3 totally kickass for me. It is a massive relief to be able to see causal flow over Platform.runLater calls like this, and is, IMHO, a huge boon for the kind of single-threaded concurrency I use in UI-dev land.
