@Joe You can successfully call real methods on LiveData in your (unit)-tests, since LiveData is part of one of the architecture components, not part of the core Android runtime. However, Looper is part of the core Android runtime and must either be mocked or you’ll get the above error.

If you’d use Roboelectric, the ‘is not mocked’ error may go away.
