Greetings all. A little bit of intro: I am a mobile app developer and ancient software engineer going back to 1966 when I wrote my first Fortran program. These days, Kotlin is my language of choice. I first came across FP back in the late 70's at a Lisp conference where I formed the very strong opinion that FP was nice but not ready for prime time. Since then FP has been like a freight train coming down the track, slowly but surely going to arrive any moment now. When I saw that Uncle Bob has fully embraced FP, it became clear to me that the FP train can be seen from the station. While Uncle Bob prefers Clojure, I suspect, and hope to prove, that Kotlin is equal to the task of building multiplatform apps and libraries using an FP style.
