My team at Autodesk encountered this issue where we enabled

kotlin.mpp.enableCInteropCommonization

and it caused the Android Studio gradle sync process to hang indefinitely. When I google the task in question I see this: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KT-50026
