I think Kotlin style guide assumes you are editing/reading code in a good IDE such as InteliJ. Reviewing code on github is a problem from that point of view, but it is solvable by 1) checking the branch locally and reviewing it in IJ 2) using tools like UpSource. Using text editors like Sublime for writing/reading kotlin is a little strange considering how little time it takes to start up a modern version of IJ
