And if anything, I hope the interest at least brings interest in other "AI" algorithms too, like genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, etc. Unfortunately, I repeatedly have seen "deep learning" become a red herring for hiring and business managers. They think they need someone who knows neural networks, when in reality they need an O.R. guy who is good at search algorithms.,
