Can confirm Kotlin works nice with DeepLearning4J. I have to say some Python APIs for deep learning frameworks seemed cleaner than DL4J and I've written a lot of boilerplate data preparation code, although I've used one of the previous versions and there seemed to be a major release recently. Might give it another try.
