Hi everyone! The Stockholm-based startup I work for (http://watty.io) is looking for some short term Android help.

First, let me tell you a bit about Watty. We are a startup that focuses on identifying the energy usage in your home. We sell both directly to consumers and through partners, but the app is always in the hands of the end user. I’ve been with the company since October, but Watty has been around for several years. Last year, we were named one of the hottest startups in Stockholm!

We currently have both an iOS and Android app in the market but, for staffing reasons at the time, the Android app was built in React Native, so we are rebuilding the app from scratch natively. Our app needs to be able to show data in real-time and unfortunately the RN version doesn’t quite provide that. I am currently the only one working on Android at the moment and while I have been able to get the shape of it in place, we are looking for someone to be able to help put some polish on the app. I’ve also made a couple of bold choices around Kotlin and coroutines, and it would be great to have someone who can double check my work on with those.

Unfortunately, our deadlines are a bit tight. Ideally, it would be best if we could find someone to start at the beginning of March. We will need to be aggressive to hit our targets, but I believe we can do it if we find the right person. Right now, we are thinking we will need someone for about 4-6 weeks.
