In other news, inspired by @RichyHBM, I've started playing with GraalVM + http4k. I've started a project here which compiles a simple http4k app using the Apache backend into a native binary. It's targeting OSX at the moment, but I'm working on getting a Linux version going as well. Early days, but it's here if anyone is interested: https://github.com/daviddenton/http4k-demo-graal
