I was now watching Scott Walshin's talk about FP and Monoid was associated by me with a rain drop:
- Rule 1(Closure): The result of combining two things is always another one of the things. That's true for rain drops: it is bigger water drop after combining 2 smaller drops.
- Rule 2(Associativity): When combining more than two things, which pairwise combination you do first doesn't matter. Also true for rain drops: it all falls down at the end and the ground is wet. And they can fall async for the same result 😄
- Rule 3(Identity element): There is a special thing called "zero" such that when you combine any thing with "zero" you get the original thing back. 🤔 Still thinking about it. Any thoughts?
