Maybe copy paste of some features would be fine if you don’t care about compatibility between libraries.

That’s what I’m trying to balance. If you’re writing your own lib you can depend on arrow-core. If you’re building an app and you’re so constrained as to not being able to justify arrow-core, go the copypaste route hands down.
