This (https://kotlinlang.org/docs/js-get-started.html#update-the-application) seems to suggest that when running without --continuous there is still auto reload? If so, is this proper hot reload or still cold reload?

Continuous compilation is unusable with 8GB RAM and barely usable with 16, so if that can cut it down...
