yeah the versioning scheme is strange @mkobit ^^ 😄
when I was working alone on detekt, I thought it is great.
now that we have so many contributors, the scheme changed to RCmajor-minor until documentation is rdy like @mauin mentioned.
when my thesis is done this january, I will call out for a detekt documentation weekend and we can then follow basic semantic versioning 🙂
