I have to say, given the current political situation, registering a geographically specific domain risks appearing somewhat retrograde. I appreciate that I offer that opinion from a privileged position where .com, .org, etc. are by default associated with the country in which I reside. However, establishing a .uk domain feels like a rebuff toward anyone from Europe in particular, or outside the UK in general, especially at this moment in time.
