as a follow up to my subscription/websocket questions from above, we've implemented the apollo protocol over jetty websockets (we run our services in a somewhat opinionated dropwizard/guice framework, but I think these classes may be usable from outside that framework too) here: https://github.com/trib3/leakycauldron/tree/master/graphql/src/main/kotlin/com/trib3/graphql/websocket
