in aforementioned project, we wrote a simple http server based on apache components to serve as the origin for media, something like http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/httpcomponents/httpcore/branches/4.3.x/httpcore/src/examples/org/apache/http/examples/ElementalHttpServer.java. didn't build a whole proxy but that should be doable
