I meant not to open for editing, but just list items and link them to milestones/issues, etc., to avoid situations when someone forgets to update that readme file with proper states of checkmarks.
As to deadlines - partially agree, since also have difficulties with available time quite a lot last months, but we could at least let users know what to expect in future.
