As for controversy because of the java proposal, I began to realise that in the discussion of the pull request! But I'd like to think that this keep is a lot less 'impactful' in the language (especially binary compatibility wise/APIs, libraries) than keep 87.  At the same time, its focus is more concerned with adding the construct in the language than in its implementation. The java proposal is a big deal because it needs `invokedynamic` as well as records that use the new dynamic constant pool. From an interop point of view, that's java 14 and pretty far ahead in the future.  I don't know what the process for making these decisions is either
