Gotcha. I guess I’m dropping quotes then! This makes sense. I also have antlr setup so can play with that a bit. Yeah, find a way to represent the match syntax validly, suppress any errors encountered, then rewrite as a valid when expression? That allows Kotlin to still optimize. I like the use of case and square brackets. @Nico I’ll read through the doc on the Kotlin grammar you sent. It looks like they have the grammar files there which is super helpful. Also, I grabbed the latest compiler source and have that building. I’m also still digging into that as well, mainly to just get more familiar with it (and in case it makes sense to implement as a fork). I noticed there’s a flex file in there, but wondering if I need to run anything different from just the regular Gradle dist task on that to rebuild from the flex file? I had made a simple change just to see if it’d take and didn’t appear to so I’m wondering if there’s a need to regenerate from that as a separate task or if it isn’t even being used anymore? Hoping to spend more time going through it later today but thought I’d ask in case either of you already knew. I’m new to the Kotlin compiler internals so still getting familiar.
