I don't know if there are any particular IDE UI plans in the works, to help with Multiplatform programming; but I can say this: I find it very productive on my wide monitor, to open up the platforms in columns so I can literally see across the platforms. I'll open tabs for files in the same order in each column to make switching file a bit easier. I've come to the conclusion this would be a very good view to have built into the IDE - perhaps with an expandable tree view for source-sets at the top which relates the columns to HMPP source-set, and a 'platform coalesced' view of files in the project navigator to complement. My current use-case is reasonably complex with 3 platforms (Android, iOS, Desktop) where Android has 4 variants and iOS two variants (two iOS targets), so it's little wonder I've been thinking about how the UI could help with juggling it all(!) A picture's worth a thousand words - as they say - I'll sketch this up later and reply to this post with it.
