On my one laptop. i always have like 3 instances of adb in my activity monitor (macOS). I have to kill them all manually and then restart adb in order to start using adb. according to activity monitor. 2 of them were started by android studio. and one is started by adb.

how can i prevent multiple instances of adb starting up?

did you ever solve this? my adb freezes especially when my computer wakes up from a sleep

i don't see anything in the android bug tracker but people at my company and other android friends are experiencing this too
