Hi @David Herman I came across this, https://shadcn-kotlin.vercel.app/docs/. Is there any possible relationship/integration with kobweb?

Created by a regular Kobweb user!
Kobweb has a bunch of parts, and one of the parts is Silk, the bundled UI framework that's still somewhat early days. Since Kobweb is compatible with existing JS libraries, some users are adding bindings to their own favorite UI toolkits, which I think is great
Personally, I'm more than happy for people to use Kobweb w/o Silk, especially while Silk is still in its WIP state
0.14.1, a release coming out within a few days, was refactored quite a bit to make this split even better (even though hopefully the change will be mostly invisible to most users)

Oh wow, didn't know it was created by a kobweb user. That's great. I am currently picking up fast on kobweb and It seems like they have also done a lot of work with shadcn.
I'll look more into it together with kobweb

Sounds good! I can't help too much with shadcn at the moment, but if you try stuff out and run into questions, I'm sure you can ask here.

Fore sure, thank you very much for the amazing work you do. Js and reactnative have been robbing it in our faces(android) for a while. But now the calvary has arrived. K💪

Hahaha, thanks for the kind words.

Each system has its own pros and cons. I wish Kotlin/JS could be as small and as quick to live reload as writing directly in JS/TS (it's not a fair comparison of course since the browser comes with the JS runtime bundled). But I love the Compose APIs, and I think Compose HTML is an incredible piece of tech that lets us write and reuse Kotlin but on the web 📌

Awesome take, I totally agree. The pro's and cons are important. One particular pro in this case which I plan to use a strategy is to pitch to users who already have a mobile app and are looking to share their business logic. This Js can't do.

Definitely! That's one of the pros that can't be denied
It's also fun to write a fullstack Kobweb application, where you share business logic between the frontend and the backend. All in Kotlin ❤️

If that's a coroutine flow joke I approve
