🎉 Kim, our Kotlin Image Metadata library, is now available in version 0.5.4! 🎉
Were you aware that the orientation of many JPEG images can be modified with a simple byte swap? This holds true when the orientation flag is already embedded in the EXIF data. In our most recent update, the Kim.update() API now performs an initial check for the presence of this byte, eliminating the need for a complete restructuring of the EXIF block.
One of the primary goals of Ashampoo Photos, which relies on Kim, is to ensure secure and lossless metadata modifications for images. This recent update represents a significant step in preparing for the upcoming rotation functionality.
