somethings is wrong using the plugin now in Android Studio Android Studio Hedgehog | 2023.1.1 https://github.com/nbadal/ktlint-intellij-plugin/issues/425#issuecomment-1870254839
So it looks like custom rule sets are not used.

I have verified that custom ruleset are loaded and executed. Due to a bug, you need to restart the IDEA after adding or modifying the list of rulesets. However, there seems to be another problem related to the Compose ruleset specifically. Rules of this ruleset do not work in the plugin. Investigation continues.

Thanks for looking into it.

I have identified the most likely cause for the compose rules failing in the plugin. It will need to be changed in the Compose rules though: https://github.com/mrmans0n/compose-rules/issues/176

ktlint-intellij-plugin
has been tagged for
0.20.1-beta
but the Plugin .zip hasn't been published to the GitHub Release Assets for the latest beta release (0.20.1-beta) and it's also not available at https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/15057-ktlint/versions/beta. Was there an issue with that beta release? (Or where should we download the plugin if we want to test the latest beta?) @Paul Dingemans @nbadal

There is a manual review process by JetBrains before it is actually published on the marketplace. Let's hope they will do it soon
