The registry key for using non-JetBrains compiler plugins is not available in 2024.1 EAP.

Can it be added to the EAP so we can avoid building the IDE from sources?

Since there is no `Kotlin Plugin: K2 Kotlin Mode (Alpha)` line in there, I suspect that you have K2 plugin disabled, and should enable it in the settings
