👋 Hi all! I have just joined Gradle's DevRel and Education team to help with Gradle Build Tool's advocacy and community building. In addition to other responsibilities, I will be focusing on Gradle developer and contributor experience, as well as the community channels. Looking forward to working with everyone! Do not hesitate to ask anything in the community channels, or to share your opinion about what needs to be improved in Gradle Build Tool and its community. Next week I will start contacting the most prominent community members and end users. My contacts are here: https://linktr.ee/onenashev, and I am also active on the community Slack and the forum. We can also meet in person at events like FOSDEM, Devoxx FR, Kubecon, or almost every Java conference in Switzerland, where I'm based. Some background: I’m a developer tools hacker and open-source community builder focusing on contributor and developer experience. I started in embedded and electronics design, then switched to automation/CI/CD at scale and Jenkins-based product development. I’ve worked on many Gradle and Maven-based projects at scale, and I'm quite fluent in both. If you’ve ever used Jenkins, most likely you saw my name on GitHub or Jira. Just in case, sorry for the bugs. I participate in projects like Release Drafter, OpenFeature, Keptn, WireMock, and Testcontainers. I have some experience with documentation engines, GitHub automation, community governance, and all the topics an average community maintainer might need. So, AMA!
