I’ve used Kotlin Multiplatform Wizard to create a KMP Android and iOS project (no Compose MP). And now I’me getting this error on Xcode 15.2.0 every time I try to build/run:

if I set

it fails instead with:

On iOS side I can import the shared library and navigate inside it’s headers etc… looks good to me. 🤔 No clue what’s happening. I’ve other projects with similar setup and without any problem 🤷 Any help? Thanks. ps: had to disable user script sandbox. Using XCFramework.

Changed “baseName” of my library from “SomethingElse” back to “shared”, successful build, changed again to “SomethingElse”, successful build. 🤷 wasted 3 hours on this 🤦‍♂️ . At least it’s “solved” 😅

I think I found the problem, looks like
klib
will never change it’s name from
shared
, that’s why it fails for the first time when we change targets or perform a clean task. Anyone facing this also? Issue created

There's no bug here, you didn't change the iOS dependency so of course it will fail.

What dependency, the import in the swift file?
I change it to KMP (when I change the framework name), and it works
the problem is a clean rebuild, that will not create a “kmp.klib”
but it will create a KMP.framework, that’s why iOS doesn’t complain with the import
another possible “solution”, If I remove this configuration, problem is solved. No more asking for the “shared”, now every time I change the basename and the import we get a success.

and the
klib
name will actually map the module’s name. So I find it not to be related with this. The Other Linker Flags is the possible candidate. 🤷
