🧩 I'm very excited to announce the very first (still very early) version of the Kobweb IntelliJ Plugin.

You can install it from inside the IDE's Plugins menu or from https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/23883-kobweb/versions/stable/497120

This plugin has been an idea we've been kicking around in the back of our head for a year but never prioritized. This changed when @Nxllpointer joined our community, sharing a working prototype back in January.

Be sure to thank them because this plugin is now up both due to them getting the ball rolling on the effort in the first place as well as being actively involved behind the scenes in its continued development.

This first version looks like it just does a few simple things, such as:
• show Kobweb colors in the gutter
• remove some irrelevant warnings in Kobweb projects (like @Page methods being unused)
• stops "kobweb" from showing up as a misspelling
However, there was an absolute ton of effort on foundational work. We wanted to make sure we had a plugin that only enabled itself for relevant projects, and wouldn't waste time or memory on non-Kobweb modules. This was trickier than it sounds!!

The secret (hopefully! time will tell) is just starting small and incrementally keep adding more and more functionality on top of it over time. The amount of stuff we still want to do in the future is daunting though!
