Have there been any talks of pulling SKIE into KMP so that it is officially part of the project?

There have been "casual" discussions in the past, but JetBrains is focused on their dev efforts, so I would say at this point it's highly unlikely. For our part, we are moving forward with additional features and updates. We'll have more announcements as we approach KotlinConf.
We will have some previews very soon compatible with Kotlin 2.0. Other new features will need to wait a few weeks...
