I dont know if this is the proper place for it but I would like to speak to my experience with the highly experimental work going on with supporting video on desktop for compose.

I was overall dissapointed as I was unable to get gapless playback working. This is in no way on the devs of compose or vlcj but fully on VLC. This has been requested for 10 years and nothing to this day has come of it. Given VLC's extremely slow development pace I would like to simply suggest using a more up to date player like MPV which does support this. I know this is an experimental feature but I wanted to give my feedback while it is still being developed.
