I'm writing a lot recently, and a lot of what I'm writing about is coroutines. Covering structured concurrency and cancellation right now. It's a bit worrying how many times I've found myself writing about killing unwanted/abandoned children. I'm challenging myself to find ways to word it that are less… murdery 😄

Dave Plummer, the engineer who wrote Task Manager, has confessed to having its code littered with such language. I think it inadvertently comes with the territory lol! I applaud you for trying to course-correct though

I personally usually go with the node based nomenclature.

For example:

`node.send(message=SHUTDOWN)``

That kind of thing.
