I've been wondering why Amper uses `.yaml` while most other YAML configs I have (like `.gitlab-ci.yml` and `docker-compose.yml`) are `.yml`

yml is more widely used though. so nobody cares about that advice :slightly_smiling_face:

Fair answer would be “no particular reason”, but a choice needed to be made. Supporting both extensions is not desirable as it’d be a headache for the IDE assistance.

also, we are not fans of shortening the names in general.
