Hm, could be. I’ll have to ask him exactly what he did.

I can see how this could be a problem: the signup page has options to sign up using your Google account, your Apple account, or a @jetbrains.com address. If you have none of those, it asks you to "Contact the workspace administrator at kotlinlang for an invitation." But that sounds like a Catch-22 situation.
