Don't know if the wear m3 team is around, but any reason the M3 square indicator does not have the gap handling as the curved? Will be added later or it's a design choice.

FWIW I don't think there are non round Wear 3 devices in the market. So focus on round.

Thanks, currently waiting for a major Compose bug to be fixed to be able to release the main app, to then be able to start the infamous wear review to start a beta, so occupying myself by going full M3 🙂 So far only missing part is the volume indicator, the new scrollindicator does not allow to pass a custom adapter 😞 Will probably need to do more copy paste 🙂

Completely unrelated, and you probably don't know, but asking anyway 🙂 Do you know if the review team will enforce the Wear OS text in description in prod app even if I only want to start a beta wear? I don't want to have users complaining there's no wear in prod and being forced by the nice review team to write the 2 words they blindly look for.

I think they have in the past. You can always appeal. But maybe policy has changed.

For the scrollindicator, due to the name I guess they want to lock the API, maybe they have planned another more generic indicator for the future.

Seems Play Store device catalog does not have a way to filter by square or not 😞 So I'll guess I'll believe you. Thanks for the insight about no square watch.

For material 3, we are planning a LevelIndicator which is intended for usage like your volume indicator. The appearance will be different to the scroll indicator, hence a separate component.
