Anyone knows why there is a new terminal in IntelliJ? I don't understand why it exists. It's much less usable as it does not behave like an external terminal, and nobody uses only their IDE terminal, I don't want to have to know and care about 2 different behaviors depending on the terminal I use. So, I saw the cons immediately, but what are the pros? There should be or it wouldn't exist, I guess

I think it looks better than the old terminal;
As it places commands in separate “blocks”.
I do still use an external terminal program too, called “Warp”.

The "blocks" are similar to warp and the recently updated iTerm. It is still in beta though.
