It's sad that they are moving to YouTrack, I get lazy when I need to create issues outside Github.

Same. GitHub I can use on my phone and is part of my workflow. I think the change will result in substantially fewer bug reports in the long run. Not to mention the inability to cross-reference between issues in open source projects and GH issues

I can understand JetBrains - better to use own tools as much as possible.

Yeah, likely makes sense from the internal perspective of JetBrains, but running an open source project hosted on GitHub with issues elsewhere hasn't worked very well for other projects. There's a very insightful discussion here from the Golang team when they considered deprecating GitHub pull requests (not even issues): https://github.com/golang/go/discussions/61182 A lot of people raise the issue that removing GitHub workflows dissuades a lot of people from ever starting to contribute, which I really agree with.

compose-multiplatform
is a weird thing to begin with. It has some documentation and some samples, but the real code is elsewhere (either core compose repo, or JB’s fork of it with so many different branches). And then
skiko
as a separate repository altogether. In terms of contributions, it’s quite a thing to navigate for somebody who is ā€œjustā€ the end user of Compose.
